Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Prior to his legal career, he served in the United
States Army National Guard from 1995 until 2001,
including a nine month tour of duty in Bosnia-
Herzegovina. He received an Honorable Discharge
from the military.
He earned his law degree from South Texas College
of Law in Houston, Texas. And, he speaks Spanish
fluently.
